Eichinger's entry level 'Strass' Grüner Veltliner is a true village wine sourced from a selection of the estates' vineyards planted on loess, gneiss, sandstone and granite. All the grapes are hand harvested, picked early and on acidity. No maceration, cooled fermentation in stainless steel tank and then four months maturation 'sur lie' before being bottled. The nose is fresh and fruity. Lively acidity packed with fruit this is a zesty and spicy-salty expression of Grüner.
